The Movers & Shakers (M&S) is a private fundraising group that helps to raise funds that helps to sustain and financially support MEDI. Movers & Shakers believe that the efforts of MEDI are essential to the growth of the Hopkinsville, Christian County, and Western Kentucky. All businesses, business owners, churches, individuals, and organizations that believe in minority economic development are welcomed, and encourage to join.

People, businesses, and organizations that believe minority economic development is needed and worthwhile in Hopkinsville-Christian County and Western Kentucky are Movers & Shakers. All ages, ethnicities, races and genders are invited, welcomed and encouraged to join the Movers & Shakers.

Who are the Movers & Shakers: Churches, civic organizations, for-profit businesses, not-for-profit organizations, small business owners, individuals, families, government entities, school districts, utility companies, CEOs, state employees, production workers and more are Movers & Shakers.

Anyone (You) can become a member of the Movers & Shakers.

Mover & Shaker Member: Mr. Tom Bell and Family

Movers & Shakers commit to an annual contribution to MEDI for a period of three years. Funds are used for operations.

• Movers & Shakers meet once a month on every 3rd Tuesday at noon, at the MEDI’s headquarters.
• Movers & Shakers plan, coordinate, and conduct the Annual M&S Tasters Luncheon Fundraiser in June.
• Movers & Shakers have developed a African American Historic Site Tour that will enhance tourism in the county.
• Movers & Shakers participate and pro-mote MEDI activities, committees, and efforts towards success.
