This is one of the Movers & Shakers fundraising events to assist MEDI to provide small business development assistance to locally owned small businesses at no cost to the community.

The Movers & Shakers (M&S) is a private fundraising group that helps to raise funds that helps to sustain and financially support MEDI. All businesses, business owners, churches, individuals, and organizations that believe in minority economic development are welcomed, and encourage to join.

Movers & Shakers commit to an annual contribution to MEDI for a period of three years. Funds are used for operations.

Movers & Shakers meet once a month on every 3rd Tuesday at noon, at the MEDI’s headquarters.

Movers & Shakers plan, coordinate, and conduct the Annual M&S Tasters Luncheon Fundraiser in June.
- Movers & Shakers have developed a African American Historic Site Tour that will enhance tourism in the county.
